CLUBS AT SICA COLLEGE
The student clubs at SICA College aim at providing a huge platform to students for bringing out their talents and knowledge at various levels. The activities are mostly organized by students themselves. The Institute organizes various club activities and annual fests like Lakshya and Mridang for students to showcase their craft. Through these activities, students learn team building and gain knowledge of social and professional world.
Cultural Club: The Cultural Club is full of diversity and exciting activities. SICA College and our students truly believe in unity in diversity. The club celebrates festivals, occasions and are engaged in organizing cultural activities. Students have participated at Devi AhilyaVishwavidyalaya Youth Festival at State Level, many Inter-College Competitions and have won accolades for the same.
Tourism Club: An individual should never stop exploring, having fun and making memories. In our Tourism Club, students visit various places to see and gain knowledge about the rich cultural heritage of our nation. In this club, picnics, visits and re-creational activities are organized and students enthusiastically participate in it.
Photography Club: Capturing a perfect image is an art and our students are great artists. We have established Photography Club through which students capture photographs and learn the nuances of photography. We also organise photography competitions for encouraging students to pursue this art as a career as well as hobby.
Literary Club: Observing and expressing thoughts is very important. In Literary Club, our students get an opportunity to express their thoughts through poetry, debate, story-telling, extempore etc. thereby developing their creative thinking.
Editorial Club: The students get a chance to show their talents and enhance their writing capabilities. They are involved in editing E-magazines, reports and many more things. It aims to enhance vocabulary and writing skills of students. Students also get to know about the art of writing. It helps in the growth of skills pertaining to communication and multimedia.
Red Ribbon Club
Through Red Ribbon Club, students create awareness about health care services related to STI, HIV /AIDS and drug use. Blood donation camps are also organised in college from 2019. Red Ribbon is used as a symbol for the awareness and prevention of drug abuse and drunk driving. Students have participated in drug prevention drive and AIDS Awareness rally to create awareness in society at large.
Electoral Literacy Club
“No voter to be left behind”.
Electoral Literacy Club concentrates on electoral participation and ethical voting. In 2023, ELC club organised a meeting where students downloaded the Cvigil app and motivated students to vote and asked others to vote in the VidhanSabha elections. Every vote counts and students create awareness among people about exercising their rights to vote.
